Council Woman Linn Strouse Charges

Sep

To defend or to trash someone like Councilwomen Linn Strouse like a lot of the bloggers are doing in the online newspaper are some of the ways that promote corruption!

First, remember that Linn is Innocent until proven guilty.

(To the bloger who call himself "idiot" and "R.M." at the Deseret Morning News Online).

Linn is not been charged with an illegal way to borrow money, she is been charged at least based on these two codes:

Utah Code 10-3-1304(1)(a) Use of office for personal benefit prohibited.
(1) As used in this section, "economic benefit tantamount to a gift" includes:
(a) a loan at an interest rate that is substantially lower than the commercial rate then currently prevalent for similar loans.

And…
Utah Code 10-3-1305 (4)(a)Compensation for assistance in transaction involving municipality -- Public disclosure and filing required.
(4) (a) The officer or employee shall file the statement required to be filed by this section ten days before the date of any agreement between the elected or appointed officer or municipal employee and the person or business entity being assisted or ten days before the receipt of compensation by the officer or employee, whichever is earlier.

In other words she's not been charge because she got the money but because she felt to report it, and as far as I heard, she haven't paid it back either. Honestly I would love to see prove in her favor, because I need to continue to believe in this system.

Please do not believe me...research it. http://le.utah.gov/~code/TITLE10/10_03.htm
I always do. Can you say the same about yourself or your candidate?

Ah, thanks for clearing that up... FOX13 was using the word 'embezzling' so it made it seem as though the money was stolen from tax payers...

But was it a $10,000 loan from John W. Walden, or a Donation to her campaign, or an unrelated gift?
